again... run the OC on something that is not stress testing it. What a "general impression" is... and what really is... are two different things. Intel says you can OC on the stock cooler... and you can. Just I would not try to stress test it.

Done. Any thoughts on normal stock temps for a 2500K under load or what the max stock fan speed should be?

As listed above CPU-Z shows 1.336V under load. Vdroop is on. Sometimes it pops up to 1.344V for a second. It idles around 0.976V

Yes I agree. I'm just explaining why I suspect my temps are high. Any idea if my temps are high for a stock cooler at stock speeds under stress? That's what I'm trying to find out.

It should be idling at 30 and loading at 55 or maybe 60.If you are using pushpins did you install the cooler before you installed the motherboard?Stock coolers are a lot harder for someone new at it too put in with the board already in the case.

that seems very low even stock for running Prime95 on the thing.

Okay thanks. I got some AS5 at RadioShack and that dropped the temps 4-5C I also turned off Vdroop and that helps too with 0.8V less at load. Now I'm getting 77C with 20C ambient.

I got so used to more reasonable temps with my stock cooler on the E5200 even with it pushed pretty hard. I guess I will have to readjust to the idea that I'm never really going to stress a 2500K anyway in real use so stress temps can be pretty hot.
