Lucid Hydra Question

Thread Starter
Im thinking about buying the ECS P67H2-A motherboard. It supports Lucid Hydra,CrossFire & SLI.I recently read a review that the performance of hydra was actually crap,in fact they said it should be avoided..anyway to cut a long story short if lucid supports amd+nvidia working together, does this mean that i could use 2 of the same cards(nvidia for example) but different models??

Whoever told you that is incorrect.

Lucid has done really well in tons of benchmarks. Last I check the difference of performance over native SLI / CrossfireX was about 5~10%, and Lucid doesn't prevent you from utilizing SLI or CrossfireX, it just allows another option of nVidia + ATi/AMD cards, or cards that are not supposed to SLI or CFX together, a 6970 with a 6870 for example, or a GTX 580 with a GTX 480.

Have a look at my Lucid Logix guide in my sig.
