[vr-zone] Revised Gtx 590 in june - Page 10

Thats nice, but I rather see if they let their AIB's create their own custom cooling. But at least they are making a second revision.

Any decent company in this field of business will do it....

I am keen for the rev2 GTX590's aswell, so much potential in them..

This could work out for me, I've been having some artifacts in game, eventhough so far it's only been in COD4 (which is odd since it doesn't even push the GPU anyway). I may see an RMA on the horizon!!

I predict gtx 585 ~ gtx 575 ~ gtx 595 may come out around the time as ati 7*** (which is only supposed to yield minor performance improvements over 6***).

BTW if anybody wants to sell me their rev1 gtx 590 for cheap let me know

what was wrong with the first rev. 480's anyway? havent heard about this prolly because ive been an ati/amd user for the most part tho my last cards are 470 sli which I hated -.-"
the gtx 580 is literally gtx 480 rev2

they tried to have the original 512 cores on the gtx 480 and failed

^

oh i know about that -.-". i thought it was another hardware issue like the gtxx 590 had.

1) 3gb of Vram per card - total of 6gb Vram ~ why not? it is their flagship card, and Vram really isn't that hard to put on a gpu

2) Much better and more VRMs. Enough to overclock this thing to 1ghz (looks ath msi lightning)

3) Better stock clocks ~ so that it is the no.1 card without question
You speak as there was plenty of power headroom in the 590 left to play with. The problem is, there is none, it's already at or very close to 375W. More ram = more power draw, more clock - ditto. And I want to see the power supply that is going to deliver all the power for 1Ghz through only two 8-pin connectors and the PCIe slot....

Interestingly new VRM will help improve efficiency of the power supply circuit, maybe they can get more cooling too, to a few Watts could be shaved off. Maybe enough to fit more RAM inside?

Sorry, where did you get that info from? Did I miss any leaks? If there's such thread around here, please post a link , no need to cluter this one.

1) hence why they should drop the entire two 8 pins, and make it 3 or more. Why not revamp the entire card while they are at it?

2) while we wait for 2*nm which will come with ati 8*** series, the 7*** series is widely know to just improve in terms of power/heat/efficiency and yield minor improvements

go on google
