http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139003&cm_re=corsair_600t-_-11-139-003-_-Product

Both the R3 and the H2 will out perform the 600T in quiet-ness. Hands down smile.gif

As per which is quieter... Really both are neck and neck stock.. so tbh if I had to pick one, I'd take the R3.

It's a lighter case, internally extremely similar to the H2, however it's got the HDD power facing the back so it doesnt give you case that "rat's nest" look.

Both cases are extremely well build however. Don't think the NZXT is cheap or anything, it's just the R3 is a better final product.

Main gripes for me:
The H2-- Uses an extremely gummy-ish and not spongey-ish noise dampening foam, and quite frankly I'm no expert, but my results with more spongey foam always resulted in lower noise.
The R3-- Doesn't come fully loaded in the fan department, which leaves you to buy one additional 120mm fan [front] if wanted.

Both have excellent cable management capability, both have excellent after sale customer support as well.

Last point, which is the selling point imo. The NZXT stock fans run at 1200prm, and when undervolted to 700rpm had a bit of a whine to them. Got replacement's through NZXT and same thing occurred.
The R3's stock run at 1350 rpm but when knocked down to ~750rpm [couldn't hit 700 with my mobo, seemed it could hit 650 and 750, but 700 was no mans land] they were still dead silent.

Both fans do not make noise motor-wise at stock speeds, but the air woosh does regardless, you need to knock the fans down to ~800rpm to eliminate that or reduce it extremely.

R3 gets my vote. The H2 try's to get all of the good parts of the R3 right but falls slightly short imo. smile.gif

Thanks for a good explanation of both.

I'll more than likely be putting my own fans in eventually unless I find that the R3 fans are fine to my liking. But definitely am gonna put in a 2nd intake at the front.

I just got my Fractal R3 the other day. The stock fans are SOOOO quiet compared to my older antec tricools. Have one tricool still installed that I will have to turn down or remove since it is the only thing that is making noise tongue.gif

Only bought it as a temporary case for me basically since I plan on getting a Silverstone later this year and I got this on sale.

I like the internals of this case (R3) better than my old HAF 932 but I am not a big fan of mid towers.

One last thing before I buy, is it possible to remove the 2 doors on the front panel where the fans are without breaking them?

Not the case door, but the fan cover ones.
