Looking for quick helpful advice about getting a new PC!

Here's the brief main specs of my current PC and the new one I'm looking to buy:

My Current PC:

Processor: Intel Core Duo 2 Q8200 @ 2.33GHz Quad-Core
RAM: 6GB DDR2
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT Green Edition 1GB GDDR3
Hard Disk Drives: 1 320GB and 1 500GB (820GB total) both @ 7200rpm
OS: Windows 7 Professional
PSU: Dell 350w

The new PC I'm looking to buy:

Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition
RAM: 4.0GB Corsair DDR3 1600mhz
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 6970 2GB GDDR5
Hard Disk Drive: 1 1TB S-ATA III 6Gb/s
OS: None (Will install my own Win7)
PSU: Xigmatek 700w

The new PC will set me back £750, which is the cheapest of it's kind I've found yet for stores in the UK, and I'm looking for it to make a significantly large difference to my gaming experience with video games such as Battlefield Bad Company 2, Fallout 3/New Vegas (though they run okay right now) and to hopefully be able to run Battlefield 3 smoothly when it comes out on at least medium-high settings.

What do you think? Any suggestions or helpful hints 'n' tips of some kind?

Sounds good, maybe add an after-market cpu cooler if its in the budget.

To be honest, no need to buy an X6 when Bulldozer is right around the corner.

Ah yes, forgot to mention it has a Coolermaster Hyper TX3 fan on the CPU

It's £20, dunno if that's useful or not lol

Wrong section, this could have went in AMD general and gotten more attention

It looks solid but the major thing will be if you want an x6 thuban or a sandy bridge 2500k, more core's will help in some cases but a overall faster cpu excels in most of the time

Won't that be quite expensive? I've got a pretty low budget

This!!! Bulldozer is around the corner. Why don't you sit back and wait for a bit.

Ah darn sorry, I couldn't really find the right place to put this >.<

Uh and for the CPU's, what your saying is, a quad with a higher clock speed would be better than the six core Phenom at 3.2GHz?

Not if they're trying to compete with Sandy Bridge.
You can build a decent SB computer for ~600-700$ USD
