Did you read the entire post? Others say 775 as seven seventy five, and several responses for 939

How do you say 2600K and 3200+?

This rap will be about the Athlon 64 3200+ and the Intel i7 2600K! What a fair comparison!

Was going to buy a nine thirty nine, but I got a better deal on the seven fifty four. How ironic I went to a nine thirty eight years later, better known as 'eh 'em three. Wish I could have built a thirteen sixty six but the price was too great. In retrospect should have built an eleven fifty five but at the time I didn't know better. Now the nine thirty eight may be switched with an eleven fifty six but the price of that board reminds me of the four seventy eight I built years ago. Actually the weirdest board I used was that tyan model s eighteen fifty four with a place for either a slot two or socket three seventy eight CPU on it. Started with a slot pentium two at four hundred megahertz, switched to a socket pentium three with a full gigahertz.

I have always said Nine three nine because that is how my AMD buddy intro duced the socket to me. But with intel sockets it has been seven seventy five, eleven fifty six, etc....

An option should be added for nine-thirty-nine
That's how I do it sometimes

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already, but consider the fact that due to the exposure of many people to the commonly expressed Boeing aircraft model numbers and how they are often pronounced, it is natural in this instance to say "nine thirty nine," for the same reason that a Boeing 747 is typically referred to as a "seven forty seven." I suspect that whether people responding here realized it or not at the time, the way they chose to pronounce this was likely related to the aircraft industry.

^ Either your analogy is weird or it's just me... while I like to pronounce socket 939 as nine-thirty-nine, I pronounce the aircraft series number-by-number (i.e. seven-four-seven, seven-five-seven... only exception is triple-seven and airbus aircraft [a-three-twenty/thirty/etc])
