So you only planning on cooling your CPU with that monstrosity or you thought about futureproofing ... adding a GPU block later on?

I was about to say the same thing. This is complete overkill for a cpu. Hopefully the OP is planning on adding a gpu or two into the loop, because this could easily handle it.

Cost mostly, I wanted some Primochill white or black tubing, but it was just too much. Maybe when I redo my loop I'll spring for it.

Have fun with the build!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it was only $6 so I didnt mind, even with the 140mm version it should work.

I was planning on getting another GTX460 and watercooling those, but they are just not worth it. So when I do upgrade my GPU to something more beefy, ill add it to the loop. Yes I am futurproofing so to speak.

it removes the dead spot that happens at the center of the fan, it also 'smooths out' the airflow(slightly less turbulent).
