Ive used several slims.

Never really gave me any trouble at all. I love the new design.

I have had disc read errors with brand new games with literally perfect discs.

And 1 RRoD on the only console I have. But they fixed it and sent it back for free.

Apparently those read errors affect only certain consoles and are related to the newest update. Might be the problem with yours.

Na I bought an elite version when they first came out, I had the oldest Xbox they made. It happened then and when it RRoD and they sent me it back with new guts it still does it from time to time. Granted it was rare but it did happen, all my game discs are perfect too.

You know how PC can end up with BSoD errors because of bad ram, or something like that? Happens to XBOX too. Granted, you can fix your PC yourself, but the XBOX is a computer - and will have the same problems sometimes.

Is this possible? So it would be better to buy the 4GB Slim and slap on a WD Scorpio?

Is there any guide about how to do this? Or do you just put it in?

It's only better if you get the 4gb at a discounted price.

I know Amazon had it for $200 + $50GC.
But I think that's the only way it's worth it.

But faster loading times were mentioned? I'd rather pay a little more for a faster HDD.

I think the stock 360 hard drive operates at 5400RPM, and you can use VelociRaptors so, yeah, muuuuch faster.
