Upgraded from a core 2 duo 2.5ghz laptop, hoping I'll feel the difference when I finish building lol.

Made a noob mistake

For the life of me I could not get windoze to install on the pch raid, it would whine about drivers and when I gave it the intel raid drivers it still wouldn't show the the raid disk.

So I took the UD4 back and got a P8P67Deluxe.... what happened? same problem. It wasn't the raid driver it was wanting, but the usb3.

So now I'm sporting an Asus mobo (my first) both do 48x100 stable at 1.35v, but this one has firewire and a powered esata, so thats nice.

I liked the color scheme of the Gigabyte a little better, but they will both look the same when I put the side on the case!

Last time I used Thermaltake TG-1, this time I used ICDiamond. I think I have the waterblock at the same spring height, but the ICD temps are much worse (~5C)
