Modded Lian-Li A05N vs Silverstone FT03

Thread Starter
I'm going to build a computer within the next month and I can't decide on a case. I'm thinking that I'm going to want a small case because I'm going to be living in a dorm next year, so I've picked out the Lian-Li A05N and the Silverstone FT03 as two cases that could possibly fit the bill. I'd consider other miniATX cases as well, such as the Fractal Design Arc Mini. Too bad I have no idea when the Arc Mini will come to the US.

I know that the A05N has a major cooling design problem with its lack of a top exhaust. There's a $44 replacement top cover which should alleviate some of the cooling problems, but I still don't know if it will cool better than the FT03.

The FT03 is an interesting case which will make for a very small rig, but I don't know whether going from ATX down to micro-ATX makes sense. Also, the FT03 is $80 more expensive than the A05N before the top panel is added in.

Any opinions for a case for my future build?

you can go with the a04 if you want its matx case or wait for the v600f = a04 with more vent holes

for the a05n you can always do the mod yourself with a dremel or a hole saw and cut the hole or the desgin for the grill yourself
