960 vs 2600k OC @4Ghz

Thread Starter
Yeah...so MC is doing a sale on the 960 for $199. Worth? Not Worth it? Should i wait and cough up more for the sandy k? When is the new series coming and would that lower the SB and Bloom prices more?

Also. For either chip, would it be better to run water cool for 4Ghz oc? Or is my hyper 212+ enough for that?

no question ask 2600k is lot better value, newer tech, very good performance but depend on what your doing with your computer though.
you mean sandy bridge E series cpu which will be little expensive compare to current cpu price tag.

i don't believe there will be price drop any time soon for intel sandy bridge.
Hyper 212+ is perfectly fine for 4ghz oc you can probably hit 4.6 with that cooler with decent temperature.
