Having trouble connecting Corsair AX850 PSU to ASUS P8P67 Deluxe. - Page 2

When you connect the pins to the 580, it doesn't need to connect to the motherboard. It just goes straight to the power supply if you are confuse on that part. smile.gif

I figured the Golden ports were for SLI was too lazy to Google.

OK, so I am gonna put the mb in the case; don't want to risk anything.

I have two 8 pin cords: An 8-pin to two 4-pins, and an 12-pin, in which 4 of the pins are blank (just holes), to two 4-pins. The 8 and 12-pin ends go in the psu and the two 4-pins go on the mb. Does it matter which one I use the on 12v port?
Ok here the list of cables:
Main 20/24-pin 60cm
ATX12V/EPS12V 4+4-pin 60cm / 4+4-pin 60cm
PCIe 2x 6/8-pin 60cm / 2x 6/8-pin 60cm

I have the AX750 which i think has the same cables as your AX850. You can use either the 8pin to 4+4 pin or the 12pin (4 blanks) to 4+4pin, it doesn't matter. I've tried both but i would suggest you to use the 8pins to 4+4pin one because if you use more than 2 GPUs, you would need both of the 12pin port for the 12pin to 2x 6/8 pins PCIe cables. If you only have 1 GPU then it really doesn't matter.

Yes, it does. The manual is for the AX750, 850, and 1200, All the cords say "750AX/850AX Only".

Anyway, thank you. Someone else suggested I use the 8 to 4+4 pin as well. Thanks for the help!

Glad you got it sorted, let us know how it runs once you fire it up!
