Would you play my game?

a Persistant MMORPG-RTS-Third person fighting game.

It's an idea I've had for a while, If I could explain it in terms of already created games, it'd be like

WoW+Warcraft+Mount & Blade

Basically, you have 3 factions to choose from (3 humanoid factions). The game is in completely third person as the camera follows your character. It revolves around collecting resources at first. You start with a townhall/keep and around 6 workers/peasants which you can select and tell them to build / collect resources, but all in third person. You lay down building pegs and assign a building to be built there and the workers will build it, it'll take anywhere from minutes to hours to complete buildings (depending on what it is).

Character STATS
Character customization revolves around stats more-so than gear based stats, Armor usually will just effect your armor rating and stats are done through leveling and stuff. The stats will be similar to Mount and Blade where you have Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Charisma.

Strength would be used to increase survivability, actual damage dealing capabilities, and ability to use heavier armor / weapons / bigger bows. Strength will be ideal in battle because the more units you kill personally will increase the morale of your army.

Dexterity would effect movement speed, chance to critically hit an opponent / dodge attacks and increase mount ride-ability.

Intelligence would be great for increasing build times through good engineering. If your familiar with Mount and Blade skills, you need a certain amount of a certain stat to increase it further. So if you had 10 Intellect for example you could put 2-3 points max into Advanced Engineering which would increase build times by 5% per point for example.

Charisma would be a great stat for balancing out attacking and defending. Basically Charisma effects how much soldiers you can take with you into battle or attack cities with. A possible way of doing this would be to put a Charisma Value on units that is similar to a Food/Supply count, so a Peasant might be .5 CV(Charisma Value) whereas a Knight might be 5. Charisma also effects the morale of your army and effects the effectiveness of your "Inspiring Roar" or similar abilities. For example adding 1 stat of charisma will allow you to have 3 more soldiers, but in your skill tree

General Gameplay and Faction expansion

Gameplay will mainly focus around your character but you oversee all of your faction's expansions (secondary, third cities, etc) from your Keep(CityHall). From the Keep you can view your surrounding area via a map and send/request soldiers from your expansion cities. You can build a tavern to recruit Mercenary soldiers at high cost but are good for emergencies, there'd be different levels of Taverns. Sending and receiving soldiers is not instant, depending on the distance of your cities and it could take hours for long distance cities to receive soldiers or reinforcements. To help govern your expansions you'll need either a General or Mayor, each with their bonus's and disadvantages

General: Ideal for sending to outlying cities, they give bonus's to defending/attacking and are ideal when your not present at a city. Generals are physical commanders that reside in the keep of the Expansion and can be killed in battle. General's can be recruited at any level of Barracks, but the higher level the barracks, the better stats the general has and the better his bonus's to cities are.

Mayors: Mayors are great for overseeing the local economy and overseeing infrastructure. They give bonus to farm/mine/forestry income and trade. Mayors are great for cities that reside behind the front line. Mayor's don't need a specific building and can be built at the town hall, the same applies to the stats/bonus's.

Both the Mayor and General can be upgrades at any time to a higher level but they need to be sent to the building that can offer it.

Creating a new City

This is where it's fun. To start a new City you must have 1000 of each resource and a Mayor/General+10 peasants to start it. At the Planning Table in your townhall you can preemptively layout the beginning of the city on screen called the City planner. This will allow the Mayor/General to begin the construction of all the buildings in your absence, you can also create a build order to build specific buildings first. You can also choose the financing option to be from the local resources or from the main treasury.

Local Resources: local resources would be a slower option unless you send a healthy amount of peasants to do the dirty work. With a small number of peasants it would take longer for the economy to kick-start to begin to build buildings.

Main treasury: You can allow the Mayor / General to siphon resources from your main treasurey. The disadvantage here is that the Convoys take time to to get to the expansion city and they also can be raided by bandits or other players. You can send a military escort as security if needed.

When you begin to build the City, you can pick what type of castle you're going to construct. With just basic engineering tech, you can build a Motte and Bailey. There are 3 Templates of castles that you can build, Stone Keep Castle and Concentric Castles will require tech. When building castles you can design them in the City Planner, you'll be able to choose the placement of the towers, gates, wall length, etc. You can purchase all the extras which include Burning oil, balistas, catapults etc. When designing the castle you'll want to plan for future expansion.

Motte and Bailey's

Stone Keep Castle

Concentric Castle

Players / Trade

An MMO wouldn't be anything without other players! This is where the game becomes highly dynamic. Players can form alliances/leagues. League Leaders can charge a tax on the members within the league to finance wars and the like. Leagues can attack each other or declare war. You'll definitely want to surround yourself with people you trust; Bribery could definitely play a part in the destruction of your league or yourself.

Also, when you defeat an enemy player by taking all of his keeps you can offer that he becomes a vassal and he has to pay a tax to you (Not a game breaking amount, maybe like 10-15% of income). Becoming a vassal of an enemy essentially makes you part of his alliance. If the vassal does not log on for 7 days the full control of the Castle goes to the player that conquered it. If the original castle is re-conquered the player who conquered can choose to give to back to the original player or keep it for himself.

BUT YES, That's all I have so far... I just basically came up with it on the spot.. so tell me.. would you play this game? What would you change. Let me now

Combat

Combat is probably the most exciting part of the game. It'd take great influence from Mount and Blade but possibly more refined. You enter combat either by attacking a castle, defending your own castle, or attacking an enemy in the field. The combat is all third person similar to mount and blade. In the event of fighting on the battlefield, theres alot of things that will effect the battle.

In a equal fair brawl, both sides simply start of opposite sides of the map. Depending on the players "Strategy" skill, it depends on the amount of deployable land that they can at first situate their army. Before battle each player has 1 minute to situate their army. Also, whoever has higher command may get a battlefield advantage such as a small hill or something to situate their archers on. Archers can also deploy stakes, but this takes time.

The battle ends when all enemy's are killed or routed. Routing is the best way to win a battle in alot of cases because it can be achieved easier and with less losses. Routing can take place due to Flanks, Balistas, Fire arrows, etc, anything to scare the enemy soldiers. Theres also alot to counter-act the scary bits also. Before battle you can purchase Standards and assign it to soldier, basically it's just a soldier that carries your Factions flag and inspires your soldiers. The morale of your soldiers also increases everytime the player makes a kill. The moral is again increased if the player is on a horse and is more viewable. The moral will SIGNIFICANTLY drop when the player/general is killed and will soon result in a route unless you have very disciplined soldiers (You can get upgrades, etc). During battle, the enemy king/general will never be marked with a special marker, you'll have to find out by yourself who the general is.
