Personally I would wait until BD releases before you go spending 500 bones on a new setup. Its only 1 week and 2 days away.

he needs the mobo and the gpu i think he should just buy those 2 and save the rest for a BD chip and get the ram later on

Your CPU cooler may interfere with your memory choice. You need around 50mm clearance and thats without the fan for the RAM.

im not too worried about BD from what i hear it will be $350+ and with my new bills thats just not doable. besides im only upgrading for BFBC2 so my current cpu unlocked will be plenty.

The RAM... the price!
First of all that is way too much for 2x2GB; second of all, 1866 CL9 doesn't stand a chance against 1600 at CL6-7 which may actually outperform it. AMD can respond as well to lower timings as it does speed. I would recommend the G.Skill Ripjaws X CL7 - they usually reach 1600 @ 6-8-6 which should be sufficient enough to match or exceed 1866 @ CL9. RAM fans starting with DDR3 have become not very necessary.

I also highly recommend an AM3+ board while you can buy one. ASUS M5A88-V EVO should work, it's around $30 extra but you save $30 on RAM anyway. Also already has VRM cooling.

The NB heatsink & fan is useless, see my thread on why is this on AMD platforms
For a bit more this XFX 6950 is cheap and good

If your looking to max out BFBC2, your going to need the most horsepower you can get. BFBC2 is not just GPU dependent, its heavily CPU dependent as well, while you may think that your cpu is enough, it may not be, especially with a stronger GPU.

At any rate, regardless of what you do, I think that investing money into an AM3 setup is not the best path for you at this point. Not with AM3+ coming out, and SB being faster, why spend more money on dated hardware.

Your best bet is to get a GPU first, then save the remainder towards a new system(Mobo, Cpu, Ram).
