Back up what info you must keep ( pics, docs,..etc ).
Um restoring a image from a single drive in non RAID... to two drives in RAID won't boot. There is a trick to get them to work. But it won't just work like that without some work enabling some things on the OS after the restore. Buying a thrid drive would work and even having a image would work. But I think if you never done it before. No matter what your going to have to do a fresh install so you might as well save your money and not buy the thrid drive. But listen to me. This isn't the same as restoring a image from a drive to another drive. IT WILL NOT BOOT. You can't just restore a image from a single drive to RAID. And the other way around you can't restore a RAID'ed OS and put the image on a single drive and excpect it to boot.
PS I would rather have my OS on RAID0 with programs I use often... and all my other my media data files on a single drive. I can always reinstall my OS, But I don't want to loose other things...Edited by UNOE - 5/15/11 at 1:53am
