Starting with a new case (haf 932 or Phantom..whichever is better, I can't decide to keep my hyper 212+ or get an H50 for water cooling for the 4Ghz oc).

As for bottleneck, everything is a bottleneck on my build. Rather than replacing parts that might be defective or whatever, I just want to start over and build a much better e-penis. What CPu should I wait for.
Not all of them have hyperthreading, it depends. The i7-2600k does have hyperthreading, but the i5-2500k does not have hyperthreading. Hyperthreading won't really benefit you in any games though, at least not for now. I say you should make a thread, tell us your budget and what you plan to do with your build, what you can re-use from your old build, and if there is anything specific you really want, and we'll give you some feedback!

Yes.. unfortunately MC was closed when I got there.. And today was the last day for the 279 deal on the 2600k.. So in case they don't honor the Frys ad.. I could've gotten that price.. But I doubt they'll do that tomorrow.. So wish me luck on getting them to honor a price match. Or offering me last weeks price. 279

Do you know anyone who could pick one up and ship it to you? Even with $5-7 shipping you would still end up saving some money
post #19 of 30
I agree with everyone saying the 2600k for what you plan on doing, but only if you get it on sale. If you had to pay $100 over the 2500k it's not exactly worth it in my opinion unless you have alot of extra cash to spare. However, if you can get it for the $250 price then it's a worthy upgrade over the 2500k

Unfortunately I don't know anyone on the West Coast ='[ .. But You're right, It'd definitely be worth it. However CA sales tax is pretty steep I think?
