BIG problem

Thread Starter
Ok, so I have my gaming rig for about a year now, and I bought some new fans with LEDs. Took my PC to my local PC shop so they could install them, I didn't have time for it. This morning I try to start my PC, but I get the message that I have to reboot and select a proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key to continue...
When I went into my BIOS, it didn't detect any of my 3 hard drives. What can I do now? I really need my pc in the next few days, and just now it decides to break down... So any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Greetings, CoolingThunder

Sorry for possibly stupid sounding question, but are the hard drives plugged in?

Check all connections, even unconnect and reconnect them / try different SATA ports etc.

Then go back into BIOS and see if the drives are detected

First off, I have to ask how much a place charges to put some fans in a case?

And then, like the other member asked, are you sure all of the drives are plugged in? I would check all connections to make sure things are properly inserted. A lot of times a simple bump into a cable can knock it out enough to make the PC think the HDDs aren't attached.

Thirdly, surely the amount of time you are going through now is longer than the amount of time it would have taken you to install the fans yourself. Just a little food for thought.

lol, I really wanted to ask that, but I thought nah...he must have had his reasons.

Only other thing I can think of is that they used a passthru molex somewhere that was daisychained to your sata power connectors.

edit: seriously though installing a fan is like 10 minutes absolute max

1: nothing
2:Since the cables are mess in there, it will take some time to find it, and for 3: ah well... Since it's weekend I now have some spare time, sooo....
And no, I'm not hearing them spin up, so probably there will be something with a cable, but like I said, it's a mess, so I'm going to check that out now...
