It's funny, my friend had an 8800 GTS with a single slot cooler, and dang it was loud. He upgraded his graphics card to my old 6870 when I went to a 6950, and he said it was the best purchase that he had made. Not just for performance, but it was SO much quieter than his 8800 was, and that made the world of difference to him.

I'd say take the money you would put into a watercooling setup and get a 212+ and 6870 or even 6950 if you find a deal on them. You'll get better performance and they'll be much quieter. Why bother paying out the nose to cool worse parts when the better parts are quieter and cooler?
