Also am i right in saying that if a monitor is 60hz, you can only see 60fps?
That's the point here. The point is, a trully gamer prefers having a better Graphic Card system, rather than faster loading times, sure it makes Windows 7 faster, but does not increase your Frame Rate within the game.

An SSD is useless for Gaming unless you just have enough money to waste on it and get faster loading times, if you're on a tight budget like the OP, he should skip the SSD and leave it for a future, and get a better overall gaming PC instead....

I think many gamers will agree with me on this one.

This man speaks the truth. Games simply don't need the instant access times of SSD's, and you can quite easily get the same write speeds with RAID0

I suggest making a compromise, get two sammy F3's, put them in RAID0 and you won't notice the difference (well, in games at least, windows is a different story). Spend the extra money on a better GPU, I guarantee it will gain more FPS than a SSD.

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB)
Coolermaster hyper 212+
Corsair HX 750w modular psu

You see killgoth2445, you can make a WAY BETTER PC than what you had in mind for the same price.

Check that one Kill2Fill made for you, he could even add a 2nd HD6950 2GB within your budget!

Definitely a WAY BETTER computer than the one you had planned with the X6 1090T and the 6850's.

I agree with this, however I would probably drop the 2nd 6950 and get another at a later date. With the money you could get some more ram, 6gb maybe.

The power of 2 cards isn't needed for any game at the moment. and crossfire can often bring problems in games. These are the reasons I got rid of my 2nd 5870.

Either way, spend the money how you see fit, but the the best performance its intel all the way

6GB for gaming is completely useless, not to mention Sandy Bridge does not benefit of Tri-Channel, so it would be either 4GB or 8GB, and 4GB is more than enough.

I rather have x2 HD6950 2GB and 4GB of RAM than a single HD6950 2GB and 8GB of RAM.

The monitor doesn't matter, My crappy LCD has a 75Hz, Also, do you think a 650W Will power TWO 6850's, and the rest of the PC?

For your budget you should be able to build a killer gaming setup that will leave you plenty of room to go forward. I just built mine 3 months ago, nasty girl build, and in hardparts for the tower ended up right around 1500-1600. A 2500k is without a doubt your best bet, or wait for bulldozer. I think anything you do now will get redone when bulldozer comes out lol. Just my .02 its your money Oh and a 6850 will not play crysis on maxed setting at 1080p. My gtx570sc wont even do it. It will play it but like kcuestag said until its 60+fps its not perfect.... I would get at least a 6950 reference, which Im fairly certain can be flashed to unlock it to a 6970 for less $..... Then look to crossfire 2 6950s that have been flashed to 6970s :/?

I've been searching a long time for a 6950 2gb reference card, I can't find them anymore. 2 months ago they were on newegg
