P67 boot cycles with any overclock settings

Thread Starter
I've been having some trouble overclocking my p67 motherboard.

I've tried many different 45x multiplier settings and each time I get boot cycles.

I enabled multithreading and disabled pretty much everything else including turbo mode. I've set the Vcore to both 1.28 and 1.35; both don't work. I disabled isochronous support and virtualization.

Computer restarts and then begins to boot cycle without posting. I have to Clr Cmos which is a pain in the ass. Half the time it continues to boot cycle unless I leave computer off for a long time (or unplug everything) and press clr cmos for around 1 minute straight.

Default settings work perfectly.

My specs are listed in my sig rig.

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions!

Have you read Sin's guide??

Can't help you much more than that. I don't own a Gigabyte board.

It sounds like something is shorting the motherboard but as long as you're positive that the default works fine I don't really know what to tell you.

default settings work perfectly. As soon as I turn up the Vram and multiplier and disable turbo boost it starts to boot cycle. Won't post and the screen stays off.
