It has been, FAT32 with bios files on it only. thing is, Q-flash only picks up a floppy drive, which isn't actually there

I use Q-flash too. If I have the bios on the USB it has never failed to find it. If you go into bios you should be able to start q-flash from there. Don't try to get to q-flash before you enter or exit bios. Only thing I know to try.

Non of this is helping, no offence. I appreciate your helping hand but ive done all this and still nothing, just detects a floppy drive and none of my hard-disks

First of all, be sure you are leaving the USB drive plugged in when you reboot to enter Qflash.

Then also go into the BIOS and on the Integrated Peripherals BIOS page be sure you have USB Storage Support and or USB Legacy Support enabled.

If those settings are already enabled and you are leaving the drive plugged in then it may just not be compatible. Not all drives are, and some of the larger ones are more problematic than smaller, so if you have another drive try it instead if you can't get the current one working.

Qflash will not detect hard drives, unless you have a FAT32 formatted partition on your hard drive.

And that may be what you need to do, format a small 1GB or less partition on the end of your hard drive as it sounds like your USB sticks are not compatible. You're using the rear USB Ports right? And have you tested with all of your USB Sticks?

I can make you a bootable CD ISO to flash with if you want, if you need that please let me know or give me a link to the BIOS version you need included and I'll make you a ISO.

Done it now mate, i found a external floppy drive and flashed it with that, worked like a charm. Now using F10 instead of F4.

Great to hear you got it flashed finally!

Now that you are on F10, Qflash is probably updated and may be more compatible with your USB sticks. So when you get time you can check it out and see if it finds them or not.

If you ever have issues again feel free to PM me and I can make you that CD ISO if you need it!
