Unfortunately I'm having the same problem as OP, but even worse. My cards tend to overheat even at 100% fan speed.

There is no really help the board is sufficating the cards only thing you can do is pry the cards apart a little and get a better side fan to force as much air in as possible i have not come across any third party after market fans that are small engouh to work like i said i ended up watercooled to solve the issus and any third party software is not going to change the temps that much if no other PCIE slot are avalible then you have to look at better external cooling
