wait for bd to come out-or if not and you just interested a a very good cpu, than buy the 1090t and the Asus formula IV, match made in computer heaven. You cant go wrong with that set up.

I also love the one on my sig rig, it is a realy rock solid mobo too. Also both are bios upgradeable so you can use the new BD cpu from AMD.

Please excuse my ignorance but what is bulldozer? Do you perhaps know how much bulldozer would cost compared to the Asus Crossfire IV or Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB 3?

Hi! what does "sig rig" mean? And what do you mean when you say: Also both are bios upgradeable so you can use the new BD cpu from AMD.

Bulldozer is the new generation of AMD CPUS, due out in June. Wait for 1 month.

That, if you can't wait till june, get a 2500k for the same price, it's ALOT faster. The 2 extra cores are useless, even in video encoding, as the 2500k is faster then the 1090T, even though it has 4 cores.

OK, I am confused Again...

Is the Phenom II X6 1090T processor not that great, then?

How does the 2500k compare to the Intel LGA1366 series Quad Core i7 950 and 960?

And I still do not know which motherboard to get?

as you are new you need to know that there are people on this site that are Intel fans and AMD fans ( and that is meaning that they will tell you that the other is junk) There are some that also will want the biggest baddest thing that there money can afford, which pretty much is everyone thinking about that statement lol. You need to think about what you want to do and spend, also if you are a new person to computers as you seem to be or maybe its just that you are not used to the lingo, yo need to do a little research but if you want I can try to help you figure out what you want/need to get. I am not a fanboy as it is called to ether of the chips out as I own both and go back and fourth depending on what I am doing. So if you want to figure out a good base system let me know and we will go over it in PM (private messages)
