I'm almost 100% sure on this, but will this fit my D3000?

Edit: $199 for me too after adding to cart, and it's in store pick up only .

Seems like the deal is gone. Yesterday it showed up as $150, today it doesn't.

Tyrker - Yes it will fit your D3000. It's a Nikon F-Mount with AF-S, so it mounts and autofocuses on a D3000.
Oh, and btw, I've got a D3000 + that lens. Work flawlessly together

I got one of those 1½ years ago. Still one of the two lenses I use the most. Great piece of kit at a very good price. Even at 200$

The 35/2 isn't that expensive and it's deadly sharp. Nevertheless, I don't see what's stopping Canon from releasing an EF-S 30/35mm prime considering the popularity of the Nikon 35/1.8 and the Sigma 30/1.4.

It's cheap, but not competitive. Although, maybe they thinking that 50>35 so they don't need one.

Well the Nikkor 35mm 1.8, when used on DX bodies, effectlivly makes them 52mm lenses. Canon might find that to be a good enough reason, why not to make a 35mm prime.
