Noted. Working on that now. The results will be somewhat modest though.

Edit: I just tried some runs on air. There is too much effort for the gains. I'll pass and wait for better cooling. It takes a lot to get this board to clock high and I can't be bothered with BS at this time. With this board its all out or nothing. I have to pass. She's a tricky b*tch.

I can't seem to hit the same BCLK - 105.7 - on my setup (2600K/TP67XE) anymore; increasing vcore didn't help, Windows simply refused to boot. Guess I'm out of the running.

What do you guys think - should I get a different motherboard, perhaps a UD5? Or another chip?

On the X58 side, I'm contemplating switching from the UD5 to the X58A-OC to see if I can cross the 5GHz barrier on my 980X within my vcore comfort barrier (the highest I've gone is 4.9GHz/1.5v).

I can't get aquamark3 to run for me. When I click on the exe it will immediately crash and report a BEX error. I tried to repair the install then I tried to uninstall and re-download and re-install and I tried to run in different compatibility modes. Can anyone assist?

On the 2600K it might be temps holding you back now.

As far as the X58-OC, I have one and it's a great board but you will see only a little improvement over the UD5. But....if you booted into Windows at 4.9 you should be able to do at least 5.2ish using the OC buttons on the board. When Dicing I boot and 4.3 and hit the +multi button then the BCLK buttons to get up to 5.3. with a 920.

hey reggie like i am always sayin, with clarkbars its all about the ratios...

try diff QPI ratios and high BCLK and see what kind of results you get. My chip was rockin at 32x (16x real) on that board -- 243 for 24/7 stability. It just needs some testing is all
