I'm pretty sure you can't hear it because of your fans. How loud are your fans?

I have a black and am really satisfied with it. After reading about the green technology I felt more comfortable with the steady amount of power going to my hard drive.

I am going to get two 2TB Greens for backup/storage and i have so far seen no faults in them, the only one is the slow transfer speeds which wont bother me because they will be used for backup. They are also much cheaper than the blacks.

Ok yea i see that now only 4 euro more that is aceptable

Thing is on my rig i only got a SSD 64mb and 1x Black caviar 1TB and i though maybe thats too litle i should have atleast 1tb more....

Then i was told by engineers in a expensive store where i might build the pc
(they use laboratory to test each hardware not sure if that is nessesary but..)

anyway they told me if i have 2 hardisk i should have the same
so now when i have black caviar i should have another
cause if one fail...then it could easy be restored from the other...or something

But i see no point getting another black caviar is it realy nesesary to have the same or will i be fine with one black and one blue caviar?

I might go for blue over green then.

Not build yet but :

I will have 4 CM megaflow 200mm ledfans regulated by fan controller
then Silver arrow with one Ty-140 + Enermax T.B Trio vegas pwm 120mm

For the rear fan not decided which one i use either of theese:
Thermaltake cyclo pattern 120mm
Enermax Apollish Vegas 140mm

Then to silence the Fans on Evga GTX580 card I remplace the graphic card fan with Arctic Cooling Accelero XTREME Plus VR004

probaly the most noisy will be the Corsair 850hx PSU

The only good thing for me would be go green if going 2TB yea
since i going 1TB and blue caviar is just 4 euro more maybe i should just go Blue instead?

then i will have 1tb black and 1tb blue + the crucial ssd 64gb i already have

Ok did some calculation on my old pc i have 300gb hardisk space and it is nearly full.
i then just erase something or put it on external drives.

Ok so the main reason for getting a extra HDD for new pc is to place 1-2 series on it

say each series has 7 season with 26 episodes each it be:
26x400mb=10.4G x 7 = 72. 8 G
x this with 2 for another serie you get 146 GB

146Gb + 320 Gb + 100gb margin = 566 Gb

You get about the space i be using...

Only reason i might need more space would be dividing stuff on 2 HDD incase one break down... sure that is a good thing but... i could save some money if i just stayed with 1SDD 64gb+1TB HDD

Lol i seen people putting in upto 7 HHD and i though maybe one HHD was too little...

not sure if i should just wait and put in one HHD for now?
