Vertex 2 vs 3?

I just have a couple of quick questions before i pull the trigger on an SSD.

At a local store, they have the 60gb Vertex 2 on sale for 105 atm. They just posted that they have a 60 gb version of the vertex 3, but its not in store yet, and will cost 150.

I believe my mobo supports Sata 3. What i will be using it for is just for a boot drive, speed up loading of apps, startup and shutdown, etc...

1) Will I see much of an improvement (everyday use wise) from the Vertex 3 over the Vertex 2? If so, how much?

2) Should i buy the Vertex 2 right now, or should i wait for the 3 to come in stock? (Money is not a huge deal (only ~$50), but i would probably wait for the 3 to go on sale)

Any thoughts?

1) Not really, for everday use and simple tasks you won't notice any difference between them. If you like starring at benchmarks, then you'll notice definitely an improvement though.

2) Since money isn't a concern why not get two Vertex 2 drives for $200 instead of one Vertex 3 drive for $150?

I would go for the 128GB C300. I've been spending a ton of time recently looking up SSD comparisons between C300, M4, Vertex 2, and Vertex 3. I realized that a C300 is the best performance/cost/reliability overall.

As for the 60G Vertex 3, I always hear that people have buyers remorse for getting such a small SSD. The speed difference between the Vertex 3 and the previous gen SSD like the C300/Vertex 2 is big on paper but not that great in real world.
