Hey Hey Hey!

Well, I'm not really new, I have been around for a few months now, I think. I built my first computer when I was about 12 years old. It was an AMD 450mhz K6-2 if I remember right with an ATi card and a VooDoo 2 Accelerator! I remember getting Half-life for Christmas but I couldn't run it because my HDD was too small (500 mb).

I used to be an MSN dial-up technical support guy. So, here I am now. My hobbies include gaming and 3D modeling & animation with 3d Studio Max. I am a Staff Sergeant in the US Army. I used to repair the Shadow Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) but now I am in charge of a Military Intelligence Systems maintenance shop. I love computers. I know a little about a lot, but not an expert in any single area of the PC. I have already learned a great deal from you all and I hope to learn more!

i loved it. well.. most of it. never made any special rank or rewards, but i was happy when my family said they were proud of me.. i think that's the only reason i joined, the whole "parents never said they were proud thing" but i was taught a lot, self respect and i went from a know it all 18 year old to a 22 year old person that respects life, and loves his country. after seeing al ot over seas i truly realize that Americans have it made. hands down the best in service, help and economy, even if people complain. we still have it really good.

Ain't out the truth. Not many people are as privileged or as mature as you to be able to realize that. We just have to be put into a position to see life from a different perspective. Where were you deployed to? I spent two tours in Afghanistan.

i was in afghanistan as well. was only there for 3 months. unit was deployed for only one thing, did our job, and on the way back we got hit. no one was killed thank god. but i don't ever want to go back. matter of fact i don't like to admit it, but i have a hard time doing my rounds at work at night sometimes. being deployed gives a whole new meaning to being afraid of the dark. ( i work for a security company)

I know exactly what you mean. I wake up in the middle of the night to loud bangs that aren't there. Though I haven't had any fears of the dark. Its still a pain to deal with.
