Should I wait?

Thread Starter
I was planning on building my first rig by the middle of June or something like that, but now that bulldozer is coming out should I wait?

If bulldozer isn't going to be that good I might just get a 2500k and 5770, then upgrade to 7000 series when they come out in june or july (is this true?)
Just wait if you're excited and you want to go BD, that's all. If you're tired of waiting and can't hold out any longer than go Intel.
Just go with a 2500k and a Gtx 460 1gb, that'll be more a good setup.

I think bulldozer is coming out sometime in june so you may as well wait and see what the performance of that is before you build your rig.

The 6000 series released not long ago so 7000 is still long off

http://www.techenclave.com/graphic-cards/amds-new-radeon-hd-7000-gpus-187285.html says it's coming out around same time as BD. Is it a good source though?

I ll never understand whats with the suggestions of Nvidia cards all the time.
Don t want to start a flame war ,but ATI/AMD is better ,even if they perform similar image looks simply better. You also have more playback features to tweak than with an Nvidia card in many cases.

Why you struggle so much buying Nvidia chips.Almost all the Nvidia cards i ve bought since 6xxx series had problems. And the quality of 5xx series shows that they really don t care in making them properly.
They even make drivers that kill cards.

Gamers use ATI.

I think BD is coming out June 15th. Perfect timing. If you're a gamer, grab an upgraded version of the FX4110(quad core, I find 3.2GHZ is a great stock clock). A bunch of gamers are getting 8 core CPUs, no idea why as games dont support 6 cores yet.

I prefer ATi/AMD graphic cards a lot more than nvidia. But they really are the same, especially since the 5xxx series where they started to compete with high end nvidia cards and the new 6xxx series with it's 6970 and 6990 going head to head with the high cards on nvidia.

nvidia does have pluses like cuda core and physx but I never found much use for that except for folding if you're really into that or if you have those select titles that use physx or use Autocad

Nvidia has been a good company in terms of advancing in technology. They are the Intel of graphic card companies. I felt really bad when Intel screwed them over.

Nvidia cards puzzle me actually compared to AMD cards since I see specs that differ greatly such as the memory bandwidth, memory interface (328bit or something), and how they set up their high end cards.
