I made the switch from i7 950 X58 to i7 2600K P67 a few months back and have been very happy with the performance. I also switched from a Sata II to Sata III SSD and also notice a nice improvement. The P67 Sandy Bridge offers better OC capabilities than X58 at much better temps. I'm not switching to Z68 because I run a 240 gb SSD and don't need Virtu or video encoding. My opinion is unless you need the Z68 SSD caching or vid encoding I'd either go P67 now or wait for Ivy Bridge for a real upgrade.
