I do want to trouble shoot just stand by and I'll try. You can't get sound with imput one with HDMI you have to use audio cable it says so in the manual and thats with DVI and HDMI cable and I know HDMI carries sound cuase it gives sound in the other imputs.
a. Use 'Screen Fit' under 'Picture Options' (p11 of the Manual). This might solve the OS issue.
b. Rename/Edit the source/input to 'PC', 'PC-HDMI'...etc
your option a. won't work still distorted.
Why do you think your option b. will work ?
Please excuse my mistake, it is not HDMI 1 but other HDMI inputs (2, 3 or 4) that you can use your current cable and to have sound. I apologize for the confusion.
What attempts have you tried within the Nvidia Control Panel?
When you connect to the HDMI 2 input of the TV, you get perfect sound but picture is distorted and overscanned.
Say, for driver 270.61:-
Under Display ->Change resolution, try the HDTV Setup?
Under Display -> Adjust Desktop size and position, try resizing the resolution? (read page 11 of release notes of 270.61)
