Looking for a 1090T BE overclocking motherboard

Thread Starter
So I'm upgrading from my 965 BE to a 1090T BE and I want to upgrade my motherboard to something than can OC without catching on fire. Price is a minor consideration (looking to spend around $150) but I'm willing to pay more for a better board. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to start looking?

The Biostar TA890FXE is an amazing overclocking board, I highly recommend it. There is actually one in the for sale section here for only 95$ here: http://www.overclock.net/main-components/1013103-biostar-ta890fxe-95-shipped.html

hardocp.com was rather negative about that board (I'd previously read their review of it): http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/09/22/biostar_ta890fxe_motherboard_review/6

Any other recommendations?

Best of the best, Crosshair IV which is BD capable http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131644

or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131655 as a second choice, also BD compatable.

Both over the $150.00 but have enough future proofing to hold you over and OC very nicely with quality VRM's and over current protection where a lot of the others don't.

this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131655... $160 after rebate

I built a comp. for a friend using this board and the 1090T.
I hit 4.15GHz pretty easy using the Megahalem air cooler

A lot of extreme overclockers seem to really love the Biostar board, but if you want something different I suggest the Asus Crosshair IV 890FX board.

Or another option is to wait another month until the 990FX boards are released.

LOL... seems the Crosshair IV is a favorite. [ame="http://www.amazon.com/CrossFireX-Motherboard-Crosshair-IV-Formula/dp/B003G40Z66"]$211[/ame] isn't beyond me but I'll have to research it. Thanks for the recommendations all! If anyone else has something to add please do! +reps!

If you want something a little cheaper than the Crosshair, but almost equally as good, then you should take a look at the Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128441

Edit: XD's suggestion above is also very good, and future proof.
