AMD vs NVIDIA

Thread Starter
Just like my other AMD vs Intel thread, I need to get some things cleared up before I build my first computer. Between AMD and Nvidia, which offers more bang for the buck? also, which generally run cooler? I've been looking at running dual gpu's as well, so I want to know if I should go with AMD or Nvidia. Some cards I was looking at were the GTX 560/GTX 560, and HD 6850, 6950.

The 6950 reference card is the absolute best bang for buck card out right now because it can unlock to a 6970.

AMD cards generally run cooler too.

AMD offers the most bang for your buck in general. For dual gpus, AMD typically crossfires better than NVIDIA. If you will use Adobe software (Mercury Playback Engine) then get NVIDIA because the software utilizes CUDA Cores.

AMD is king right now. Reference 6950 unlocked and crossfired will put a hurtin' on most games today.
