ok, 12 straight hours on P95 NO errors, first OC is a success!!!

Hahah, nice man. Good luck with your future OCs! They get addictive.. trust me.

Went from a "oh i'll just oc 200mhz" to ocing from 2.8 to 4.2 ghz...

haha, well i cant go overboard till my enw rigs done, this is just a stepping stone. im going to OC the new BD from AMD muwahahaha cant wait

Voltage is ULTRAKILL for that processor.

3GHz should be doable on less than 1.3V.


Edit: Nice job for your first OC.

I remember getting my Opty 1214 to 3GHz from 2.2GHz... That was epic for a complete OC noob

i didn't touch the voltage, that's stock... should i adjust this? maybe its my mobo thinking it needs more? any thoughts?

If your at 3.2 on the same 1.42 v you should pass. I can get 3.2 on 1.375v with my 720be and n/b at 2400 1.3v --i can get 3.4 cpu at 1.4 and 3.6 at 1.42 i have an asus mobo with it too.

Since you have a phenom x3 you should see if you can unlock a core, most motherboards support it more info here http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/53...ore-cache.html
