ATI 6850 Compatibility

Thread Starter
Hey, I just wanted to know if a HIS HD 6850 can be used in crossfire with a Sapphire HD 6850? Or if I should just get another HIS 6850. Also, money is no concern

It should work just fine. As long as they both have crossfire connections.

yes the brand doesn't matter as long as it is the same series 68XX like you can crossfire a 6850 with a 6870.

Such a configuration should not present an issue.

I prefer to match cards for aesthetic reasons, though

as long as its the same, 6800 series than it can, cause of the architecture which has to be the same in order to crossfire with another gpu , no matter what brand or what it says on the outside as long as its in the same series not 6900 series but 6800 series you're good to go
