I've realized I've been losing precious hard drive space on my htpc so I tinkered around it a bit and found out that I've lost 46gb of hard drive space on my app date folder.

BUT..

when I inspected the folders individually, I can't find the 44gb+ space that were lost. how can I recover this?!? fyi i have the "show hidden folders" enabled.

thank you OCN. god bless

Wow, that's crazy. My appdata folder is only using up 3GB.
The only thing I can recommend is a clean Windows 7 install.

omg I've found the problem but I don't know how to fix this. It looks like my external Hdd is the one causing the problem. when I have it plugged it I continually lose hard drive space! . -.-" now there's no way for me to back up my files and do a clean install again. something tells me this is a virus or something tsk
