All viruses today are purposely aimed for XP in mind then the rest.
That's kind of the point though. Just change the OS's in your own sentence.
Since viruses that were around when W7 launched weren't properly working for W7 since they mostly was aimed for Windows XP and 2k.
What I'd want to see is at what point XP took off virus wise as it took over the market share from 98/2k. To see if a pattern was emerging.
W7 has only just taken the dominant position in the OS market from XP so I expect in the next year that there will be a rush of viruses targeting it.
Edit: I'd love to be wrong and see low numbers, but as many people have stated. You can't fix stupid. I always try though, teach them safe mode + full scan and you can reduce calls greatly.Edited by Nugu - 5/16/11 at 2:42am
