MSI GTX560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC vs. Gigabyte GTX560 Ti OC

Hi everybody, what's up!?

I'm wondering which of these 2 cards are better when talking about noise and temperatures? Obvioulsy, I'm seeking for the most silent and cool option. I'm not seeking for the ultimate performance, just for a good well-rounded card that is quite and runs cool.

There are many reviews of the MSI, but I haven't found any reviews about the Gigabytes's OC-version (only found SOC, and the OC-versions fans/cooling system is different from the SOC-version).

Here are some facts about the cards:
MSI:
880MHz - 4200MHz
Gigabyte:
900MHz - 4000MHz

So, which runs cooler and more is more silent? I just have the feeling that the MSI would run cooler and quiter, but is this feeling true? Please help me!

Thanks alot for your help!!

From what I read and from watching Linus Tech Tips the MSI twin fan design runs cooler than the Gigabyte's twin fan. http://www.youtube.com/user/LinusTec...16/Qt7_mHgwr98
I think MSI has the best cooler of all the 560ti.

Not 100% sure about the Gigabyte but the MSI doesn't use stock VRM (its stock +2 more on the GPU so a total of 6 phases): source.

MSI warranty is also serial number based so this adds to the resale value of the card.

Why buy a pre-overclocked card when you can do it yourself? The review sample on the source stated above was able to push 1GHz.

Lastly, general consensus dictates that the Frozr II cooler is superior in cooling/noise.

MSI's TFII is the superior card, but there's a newer version out, the GTX 560 Ti Hawk Twin Frozr III. I was going to get the MSI TFII/OC but the Hawk happened to be released 3 days before I obtained the money to purchase the TFII, so, the choice was obvious.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-578-_-Product

It is on sale on this site and it delivers to the US and Canada,

Edit - you're in Finland, so that doesn't help.

http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=60642&vpn=N560GTX-Ti%20HAWK&manufacture=MSI%2FMicroStar&promoid=1026

That 229.99 CAD translates to 236.88 USD.

^ what the above said.
The Hawk is also clocked at 950MHz. You could push it over 1GHz if you wanted, but that might not be every single Hawk

Thanks for all your replies! The hawk is about 50-60 € more expencive than the TFII here in Finland, and I don't seek for ultimate performance, I believe that the TFII would be good for me.

Get the TwinFrozr II. The III is only some 2C cooler. For the additional money, I don't think it's worth it, especially since both will OC about the same.
