Load line calibration + offset: ok with low levels of llc?

Hi. Just a quick question. Is it recommended to avoid using llc with offset altogether, or is it ok to offset with "level 1" llc? I'm using a bios with only two levels of llc on my UD5, and I'm running my 2600k at 4.5 ghz. My goal is to be able to use the automatic downvolting that gets enabled when not using a fixed voltage.

Any input on this issue is appreciated as I cant find too many concrete answers to this question.

Only way is to experiment. The best thing to do is to start at something low like 1.2v and see how the board responds to different offsets and different LLC. Do keep in mind that with LLC2, the higher the vcore is, the more of an effect (Vrise) LLC2 will have; LLC1 does reduce vdroop, however, the higher the vcore, the more droop LLC1 will have.

Ok. Thanks. Only question remaining is if running with offset somehow adds an additional "overshoot" of voltages.

You're asking the wrong question. It's not about whether it's safe, it's about what you gain by using it (nothing at all).
