AMD FX-8130P > core i7 2600K - Page 2

I'm waiting for BD as well, but how many of these speculation threads must I be exposed to before it comes out and the actual facts are revealed? Makes me really wish there was a "ignore thread" option as well at times.

I agreed with your comment. 99% of the data on the web is pure speculation and BS. I wish AMD would say something of value and stop all the false reporting. They need to learn how to better play the media and get continuous weeks of free coverage with some real data in the storyline. All that is happening now is that people are getting frustrated and buying other processors because they are tired of waiting.

I really doubt any Bull-dozer can beat an 2600K at 5gig.

It might, since it could have twice as many cores.

However beat would have to be relative to what you're talking about, in gaming? No probably not, in rendering, probably.

Wow.... I don't even know where to start.

It doesn't seem like that's AMD's game plan. From what I understand reading around they're looking at offering a flagship proc (where the FX-8xxx fits in) that is good, but the bulk of their sales will be in the budget conscious chip class. Totally different company strategy.

At least Balla has logic and research behind his postings but saying BD can't beat a 2600 at 5Ghz without any knowledge of solid performance number is just retarded.

So basically you're assuming the BD can't be OC'ed to 5Ghz?

According to the test version to get friends bulldozers, bulldozers can not be overclocked (do not know that that can not be over, or the system not super low, or ES CPU or the motherboard is limited) specific remains to be determined, the specific results are not to publish! ! ! ! !

I couldn't agree more.

Really really really want the 2nd-to-top 8-core when it's released.

Assuming you're talking about single thread, what about an FX at 6Ghz?
