Overclocking 2600K ( need some help with voltage)

Hi fellow OCN ppl......
After 11 years of solely using AMD rigs, finally pulled the trigger on a intel system and a 2600K rig.
Overclocking was very easy and with this average processor I hit 5200mhz @ 1.52 ( the multi wall won't let me go higher).

anyway, my question is a bout a statement a user made a while back. He said that using offset voltage might suddenly kill your CPU due to the sudden voltage spikes and a MOD's 2600K has already said goodbye the same way !!!!!!!!!
is this legit ??
I prefer the undervolting with offset voltage and hate to have my voltage stay at peak all the time ( in manual mod) but if offset voltage isn't safe then there is no choice .

So should I go with offset or manual voltage ? Is offset voltage not safe ??

This bug only happens if you use offset voltages inside profiles and you switch between profiles....it like forgets to add a 0 or moves the digits over or something stuipd...the offets it gives you you can't even enter manually....

so if I adjust offset manually every time, and not through profile change, then it's safe right ?

I've been using Offset voltage ever since I bought this i7 2600k back in January...

Due to summer temps, I currently have it at Offset +0.075 (CPU-Z reports about 1.28v during LOAD) for 4.6Ghz HT ON, and I've never seen any voltage spikes or anything, it's been working like that since day 1.

PS: Your sig rig is wrong, it says i7 2600L, I guess you meant 2600K.

To be on the safe side i would stick with manual voltage. If your stable with manual then i see no reason not to stick with that.

I have seen some reports of spiking with very high oc's and extreme llc enabled but these are few and far between.
