Ok no worries, I've found this board http://www.bjorn3d.com/articles/Asus...oard/1565.html

Edit: Just reading up on it and I don't think it supports hex core CPU's or DDR3

You could wait a bit for the 990 chipset to arrive. They'll have native support for SLI, no hack needed.

That Asus is a great Mobo, 8+1 I believe and there's no point getting anything less than a true black socket AM3+ socket at this point, if you're gonna take the AMD route.

If I were you, I'd wait a month for the release of the FX's, aswell as the plethora or Mobo's being released in it's expectation. You'll get your SLI capable boards, or at least ones able to be used in SLI with a better chipset and VRM's than the ones currently available.

If you took the plunge onto that Asus Mobo (about 110 quid from what I've seen), there's absolutely zero point forking out 143 quid on a 1090t with the FX coming out next month.
You'd be better off either looking for a second hand and cheap X4, or getting a brand new 955 for 88 quid, 555 for 66 quid and selling when the FX comes out, or keep as a backup.

I'd grit my teeth and wait a little longer for the board's and first-hand reviews next month if I were you, you'll just kick yourself for it if you see a price-drop or better board's next month.

Get the other bits in anticipation by all means if it means spreading your money out easier, GPU's you have in mind are most likely out already, and the only new one that I know of coming out is the 590 R2, unless you're going mid-range SLI, then I doubt the 560 (non-Ti) is on your list, but without knowing the price difference between that and the 560Ti, the Ti is probably still the better bet).

RAM-wise, Mushkin Blackline's are lower volts than Corsair Vengeance/XMS3's and they're all pretty much the same timing's unless you fork out a bit extra for Mushkin Redline's, but I'd get the Blackline's and up the voltage a bit to get tighter timing's personally.

Mobo you're currently severely limited on choice, if you want true SLI suport, all the 990's will have native SLI again from what I hear, and it'd be silly to fork out that kinda money on a CPU for what is pretty much a waste at this point in time. In my opinion.

two of my boards are already am3+ compatible with the newest bios updates, but they are crossfire boards. my sli amd board won't be getting the am3+ update . if you want am3+ on an sli, i think you'll have to wait for the new nvidia chipset that supports it.

if you plan on buying gpu's, the 6xxx series from amd is looking really good in early reviews and comparisons to the 5xx series nvidia cards and have better prices for the performance. the folding at home advantage is the only one i see of the nvidia cards over ati.
