Processor Ranking

Thread Starter
Now this thread will provoke a lot of debating. However, as long as it is in good taste, debating is good. So lets keep it clean.

Here is how I would rank current processors that are commonly used in the desktop world. For Best Overal list, I am only going to use dual-core to simplify things. For everything else, I will include single and dual core. I am not including X2 4000+, X2 4600, and Pentium D 8XX, because I just don't see them used that much. Also, I am not including Optrons because I don't know enough about them to rank them. Please help me out with that. This list is evolving, input in greatly appreciated.

I need recommendations on the placement of Dual Core Opterons

Best Overal- Stock Speeds:

Core 2 Duo X6800 (2.93Ghz 1333Mhz 4MB)

Little confused here... you said 'Dual Core only', but the best ever chips are both single cores.

Why is a Pentium D 965EE under the FX-60?? Its certainly more powerfull than the FX-60 and overclocked is mroe powerfull than an overclocked 62!!

I would think at stock speeds a FX-60 and 965EE are very close. It would seem that a FX-60 edges the 965EE though. Overclocked, a 965EE is probably better though.
