Hi, I have a Fujitsu Siemens MCM21T2 monitor. Is it 100% safe to replace the maximum resolution of 1920x1440 @ 75hz to 2048x1536 @ 70hz with Powerstrip ?

Here is the a quick overlook over the technical data: http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/crt-monitor/...-21t2/details/

Here is the detailed technical pdf: http://uk.ts.fujitsu.com/rl/services.../21t2/21t2.pdf

I live in a poorer country and monitors like this are very hard to find. I am very aware of better monitors like Sony FW900 or Sony F520 but they just don't exist here. The problem is not the money to get a new CRT, but if anything happens to it i won't be able to replace this monitor. Almost all the used ones are junk that does 1280x1024.

The pixels are very slightly blurry, it's not noticeable, but i say this to let you know that the monitor is not in perfect condition. So even if the monitor can handle that resolution, would the picture degrade in time ?

I have tested for a few seconds at 2048x1536 @ 60hz, as i didn't want to risk 70hz, with the default settings in powerstrip and the image was clear. If it is safe to change the resolution to 2048x1536 @ 70hz, what about the settings in powerstrip such as pixel clock, front porch, sync width and back porch ? I know that they are filled automatically by powerstrip, but i just don't want to force the monitor with the wrong settings and then see the image degrading in time.

Thanks for reading.
