Seagates are fine. I have no problem with mine, been running 24/7 with the exception of cleaning out my case and doing other hardware swaps for 3 years now.

All 7 drives work great in my rig.

I've also seen you post Anti-Seagate hate in many other threads, when it simple isn't true. All hardware manufactures have issues with some pieces of hardware going bad. And if you look at the failure rate of it WD Hitachi I do believe is higher then Seagate. Source

LOL.
I said from personal experience. He can take my advice with a grain of salt.
In the end, it's his money and he can spend it any way he wants. I'm not telling him what to buy, I have given him recommendations. He can either take what I say, or he doesn't.

"Anti-Seagate". Pfft. Makes me laugh.

The most quality product is the Samsung one in my eyes, I just don't know if it worth the plus 5-7 euros, which is not much in the end. I would prefer 5 - 7 more euros to pay now, then to have a HDD fauilre.

PS: I have read too many stories about that Seagate, I won't buy it for sure... :S

Well, I have searched a bit, and I found out, that a lot of stories can be read for the WD and Samsung drives, too (well, on newegg). So I think, that I should not be affraid of buying the Seagate drive. I`ll see.
