I hate how google is putting its nose into everyone else's businesses. just stop all of this nonsense and focus solely on your search engine and browser google. OS is microsoft's and apple's jobs.

There is a quote I really like that I think applies to this:

"It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society."

Not only that but this made me lawl quite a bit.

oh really? Tell that to the businesses that still use DOS based programs or programs that won't run with anything higher then XP.

Also, it really goes in hand with what else Google is trying to do, and that is be apart of every aspect of your life.
One contradiction USING another, if you like so much control why not go linux?

We must understand, when they say "users," they don't mean us. They mean... normal people. We're the weird ones who like to play. Most people get in a car, turn the key, push the pedal, and steer where they want to go. They don't care how it works. Or with a dishwasher, they put in dishes and soap, and remove clean dishes. They don't care how it works. This is what Chrome OS (and the like) are for.

I don't think we should accommodate for tech illiteracy. It shouldn't be hard to keep your computer running anyway. even with Windows... Vista.

It shouldn't be hard, but if something DOES go wrong, Windows makes it as difficult as possible to figure out what's going on. Windows error messages are like the check engine light; it tells you virtually nothing. Which, ironically, is probably why people get so confused when something invariably goes wrong.

Eh, I hate news topics like this. Blah blah Chrome OS can take over 75% of business right away.... smartphones will replace desktops.... nuh uh, not happening. None of it. Maybe if it was lower on the ridiculous scale.
