Okay, I'll give better descriptions now I'm at my PC. GRID is a fun game, it's a little bit outdated now but I think you'll enjoy it - it's a great mix between realism and fun gameplay, has some cool cars, and makes you want to keep playing. Blur, I've played about 2 minutes of, but that was all I needed to play to realise it was a cheaply made game with no incentives to buy it whatsoever. Shift 2 felt really unfinished to me. It didn't get rid of any of the bad bits of Shift - it just tried to cover them up instead, and didn't succeed too well. It's a better game than Shift, but the car upgrades mess things up - I had no incentive to upgrade seeing as the car I bought at the start of the game was smashing all the competition after I bought most of the upgrades for it. I haven't played Morrowind, but I love Oblivion and Skyrim, and it's supposed to be a really good game. Fallout 3 is really good fun, although the post-apocalyptic setting can get a bit much after a while.

I'll prolly do it. Enjoyed FO3, so I think I'd like it. Although, I need to mix the two together. I need to wander around Vegas in a kick ass suit, with Fawkes at my side carrying his minigun, and an alien weapon on my back.

I'm thinking of picking this up. IMO the two best game deals on here are FO3:NV and LA Noire. I have FO3 for the PS3, but I haven't really gotten too far into it. The game felt like it would play a heck of a lot better on the PC then a console, so if I do get New Vegas it'll be for the PC. I won't make that mistake twice. thumb.gif

EDIT: Do any of you have the Prima guide? Do you think it's worth the extra $1.88, or is it just full of information that's easily found (in an easy to use format) on the internet?

I'd hazard a guess at the latter, seeing as the game has been out a while and the wikis will be fairly full of information.

This.
I don't bother with Prima Guides anymore. Once I discovered the Internet, I found that most (if not all) of the information in those guides could EASILY be had for free.

The guide will probably be better than the info on the internet, but don't you think that it's more fun playing a game without knowing those kinds of things? I mean, weapons stats and things like that are great, but a walk-through of missions is just too much for me.

I never bothered with guides because I could get the same information by dedicated play on my own. I may miss a couple "secrets" but there isn't a game that I couldn't find my way around. wink.gif

Guides are pointless imho because you basically rely on someone else to do the work. I get miffed as hell when I have someone(in the same room/ over my shoulder) telling me where to go. I promptly pause the game and tell em where to head in at. Guides? We don't use no steenking guides. tongue.gif

Total War bundle is pretty damn good. No Shoguns though. Still, Empire+Napoleon+Medieval II. They also throw in RTW and all the dlc. That's a great deal. Oh and ME2 for $5. That's criminal

The Total War bundle is at a great price. I got it when it was just 66% off during the sega week sale and have only played Total War Rome but the package is a steal if you like strategy games with a historic bent.
