[Steam] The Steam Deal Thread - Page 290

And now I know why no one would go for a Nuclear Dawn group buy! Turns out they are having a 5-day free to play week on steam starting December 1 and during that time the game will be 40% off $19.99 and I can only presume similarly for the 4 pack. I will make a new thread in the online deal section December 1st to let the daily lurkers know. biggrin.gif

Quote:
InterWave Studios announces that their first game Nuclear Dawn will be free to play on Steam beginning Thursday, December 1, 2011 through Monday, December 5, 2011 for PC and MAC. During the free Steam weekend, fans wanting to purchase the full Nuclear Dawn game can do so at a 40% discount.

In preparation for the Nuclear Dawn free weekend on Steam, the regular everyday price will drop to $19.99.

For sure. thumb.gif

No doubt. I snagged ME2 for $5 during the Amazon.com sale, so I started watching for someone to put ME1 on sale. Steam happened to have it for $10 the other day, so I grabbed that too.

It's one huge perk to staying behind the curve on PC games. smile.gif

Very nice haul. The main issue with steam is that you end up buying a lot of great games for insane prices that you obviously end up with a backlog but hey if it's quality games you like on there I don't think it's a bad thing at all to show the developers your appreciation with a purchase even if you don't get to the game until much later then the initial purchase was made.

Got Deadspace 1 &2 for $4.99 a piece last night. Can't wait to play them.

Good action games with a nice sci-fi story to go along with the fun. They are not really 'horror games' imo since most of the time you know where the critters are coming from but hey I loved both of them nonetheless.

I just got done playing "The Library" in Metro (that's scary after a long time of not playing the game) and then saw the Steam ad. For the price, as long as its a decent shooter to keep me occupied, I'm good smile.gif

Thanks for the input.

Metro 2033 isn't scary, is it? Bought it from GamersGate for $5 and haven't installed it yet. Any scary game freaks me out, even Bioshock.

It has its good scare moments. Most of the time you are underground or in a dead building and its dark and lonely. Its a great game and I also got for $5 there too and was able to activate it through steam.

Probably about the same as BioShock. Has a few scarey moments.

Thanks. Is it like Bioshock where the game is mostly atmosphere and not alot of action?
