[FT] BT sets sights on 80 Mbps FTTC service in 2012 - Page 2

Why are they investing in technology, when clearly half the country doesnt even have 20mrg lines in yet? Im 6 miles from belfast, the main town and im still stuck on 8meg. Keep up the brilliant work there, arseholes

What's funny is, here in Lawton, we have a local company that offers 15Mbps at $55 dollars, and I get 1.5MB down easily.

I cant wait till BT install FTTC in my area, already getting a good speed with Sky

Its great seeing the UK finally improving its broadband, a couple of years ago the UK was rated something like 36 in the world for BB speeds, I'm sure we are lower down that list now.

How about you replace the copper infrastructure first?

lol this

but tbh FTTC is decent yes it has copper but 30-40mbps is nothing to be sniffed at

and since they can nearly double that to 80mbps i'm game for it

shame its only like 5% of the country right now

but my speed is ok anyways for now i guess

Great, reach your download limit in seconds.

Everyone I know who is on BT say they want to switch to someone else, everyone I know who was on BT say they are so glad they switched.

Jay247, stick with Sky, their service is far superior to BTs, even though they use the BT network.

The government plans to have England as the fastest in Europe by 2012 I believe. Sweden is number one at the moment, overall.
