Corsair Vengeance running 1333MHz instead of 1600MHz

Hey,

I got Corsair Vengeance 16GB 4x4. (CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B)
I found out that the memmory is runing on 1333MHz when it's suppose to run on 1600MHz.

I went to BIOS and couldn't find where to change it, the only thing i found is:
MB Intelligent Tweaker -> Advanced Memory Settings
Then i have option to Enable Extreme Memmory Profile (X.M.P)
And below it's sais Memory Frequency 1333MHz.

I'm running on GA-P67A-UD7-B3 and Intel core i7-2600K.
How can i set my memory to run on 1600MHz?

Thanks,
Dan

Where it says 1333, use the + to up it to the next setting which should be 1600mhz.

You have to select the ">Channel X Timing Settings"

& then this to set the proper timings if it doesn't.

Using the XMP profile should also set it all correctly, I haven't used XMP on sandy bridge yet, on x58 systems it could do terrible things to the VTT voltage so I usually avoid it, but reading around looks like it might be OK for p67.

Ok, i enabled XMP and the memory changed to 1600MHz.
I turned on the PC opened CPU-Z and it's sais 800MHz...

Someone told me it means 800x2 ?
Is that true?

And whats PC3-10700H (667MHz) means?

I have 4 slots of the same memory you see above,
Is this a good memory? smile.gif

yup its x2 so ddr3 at 800 is 1600

the numbers you are seeing at the bottom are the cas you should be abel to achieve by lowering your rams speed

Yup, DDR double data rate, so multiply what you see in cpu-z x2 & it's 1600.
Motherboards are basically native 1333Mhz, that's why it says pc3-10700 when it's actually a pc3-12800 kit you have in it.
It's decent memory, the price of ram just goes up with faster speed & lower timings but the expensive stuff is really more for benchmarking.

I had the same issue of my vengance kit running at 1333mhz and i'm on amd.. it's just what your motherboard defaults to.. just set the dram timings and volatages in the motherboard bios and as people have said above if programs report 800 or 667 you X it by 2 because its dual channel
